Our first office was established at the start of 2006 in South Jakarta, which was an exciting progression for our team. A major project focus in 2006 was action research and implementation of point-of-use drinking water treatment alternatives, in collaboration with USAID – Environmental Services Program. Also, the major earthquake in Yogyakarta caused YE to send a small emergency relief team for the two weeks following the earthquake, YE Water Program aid focused on provision of safe drinking water and hygiene promotion facilitation.
